Antique Chinese Brown Jade Talisman Pendant Amulet Shake Rattle

This is an incredible antique Chinese jade pendant. It is about 2" (5.08cm) in diameter. The pictures do not do the piece justice. The pendant is a dark brown. It has a hole in the top so it can be worn as a pendant, if so desired. The appraiser of this piece called it a talisman and noted that the symbols mean long life and happiness. He estimated that the piece was made between 1780-1840. Uniquely, the piece is composed of a large, outer jade piece and a small piece of jade on the inside of the larger piece. It can be shaken and rattled because it is loose, and it is intended to be. The way it was carved and placed inside the larger piece ensures it cannot be removed (at least not without great difficulty), so one does not have to worry about it falling out. I have never seen a pendant quite like this.
