Cedar Wood Cremation Funeral Urn for Human Ashes

When you select one of our designs you can be certain it will be beautiful, and all the components will harmonize perfectly. SIZE: If you’re shopping on line for urns you’ve probably seen this “rule of thumb”: Urn Capacity should equal one cubic inch per pound of body weight. That’s not a bad rule, but there are obviously other factors. One is density. In the cremation process muscle and fat tissue are reduced far more than bone. People who are exceptionally tall or large framed will require greater capacity than people who are merely “heavy”. Because our urns are built by hand by several different individuals, there will be some difference in the sizes. But they all exceed 275 cubic inches of storage capacity. External dimensions average about 10” wide by 6” deep by 7-1/2” tall. MATERIALS: Every urn is built of cedar wood, using techniques handed down from generation to generation. Even though this is natural wood, we do NOT recommend our urns for permanent outdoor display. ACCESS: Each urn has a removable panel on the bottom held in place by four small screws. Once the ashes are placed inside there is seldom a reason to remove this panel.cedar-urn
